No Child of God is “Illegal”
Join the Drop the I-Word Campaign, a national public education effort launched by ColorLines.com and the Applied Research Center (ARC) to eliminate the use of the term “illegals” and its derivatives from public discourse and the media.
We encourage you to eliminate the term illegals from public discourse. Here is how you can help Drop the I-Word:
- You can sign the pledge not to use the i-word and ask both church and secular media to drop its use.
- Local churches, campus ministries and other communities throughout the church can formally endorse and actively support the campaign.
- You can ask outlets to use terms that are respectful, accurate and fair.
- You and/or your church can publicize the campaign by sharing information via social media, blogs, emails and word-of-mouth.
